Nama Jalu means to hold or embrace fire in the Bundjalung language
Fire has always been a core part of life for Aboriginal people and communities. The campfire holds great spiritual and cultural meaning as a place for gathering, yarning and sharing stories and knowledge. This spirit of connection and shared wisdom captures the intention the Nama Jalu team brings to all our work in partnership with Aboriginal people and communities.
